Alcumus is a successful and globally expanding enterprise with a longstanding commitment to promoting safer and more sustainable workplaces. We are looking for an experienced Sustainability Consultant to join our Measurement team. The ideal candidate will have experience calculating business carbon footprints across all three scopes, a passion for sustainability data and the desire to support businesses in their Net Zero journey.
What that means day to day- Calculating or conducting verification of full carbon footprint assessments (Scope 1, 2 and full scope 3) and reporting using data management software for our wide range of members as they aim to achieve the Planet Mark Net-Zero Certification.
- Data gathering and member relationship management including delivering data calls and any other customer support activities.
- Independently project managing diverse certification timelines and deliverables, including managing time resource from junior members of the team on such projects.
- Training other members of the team to deliver Planet Mark Net-Zero Programme.
- Business development / proposal support and subject matter expertise for existing and new members as required.
Other activities: - Support the team with the delivery of in-house business excellence and process improvement projects.
- When appropriate, step in for Certification Manager to lead meetings as required, and be prepared to contribute in meetings to discuss progress and new projects.
- Assisting with product development/improvement as required.
- Keep up to date with industry news, developments, and standards.
- Any other ad hoc duties that may be required.
What you'll need to be successful- At least three years' experience in a similar role.
- Three to five years' experience calculating carbon footprints.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Degree or qualifications in sustainability, mathematics, or statistics (desirable but not essential).
