Role Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day project budgets, including Work in Progress on projects within your area of responsibility.
Interpret, organise, research, analyse, and execute major projects or medium-scale projects.
Take responsibility for fee control, technical direction, and senior client liaison.
Draft and manage planning applications, pre-application enquiries, and appeals.
Undertake basic planning appraisals and research.
Provide guidance to engineers and architects on the production of drawings and supplemental planning information.
Manage clients throughout the planning process, assisting with community engagement, committee meetings, and public examinations.
Communicate with all stakeholders involved in the planning process, negotiating positive outcomes for the client.
Attend occasional site visits and client meetings.Ideal Candidate Criteria:
Hold an RTPI accredited degree or Masters in a related discipline.
Be a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute or be working towards it.
Have at least a year of experience in the planning industry, in either the public or private sectors.
Possess strong client liaison and project management skills.
Demonstrate strong report writing skills and a good understanding of the UK infrastructure planning process.
