Our client is a leading multidisciplinary practice offering expertise in acoustics, architecture, and structural engineering. For over 50 years they have provided tailored solutions to clients in sectors such as construction, healthcare, education, residential, and commercial developments.
What You’ll Work On
As an Assistant Acoustic Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including but not limited to:
Building Acoustics: Assessing and improving the sound insulation of residential, commercial, and public buildings.
Environmental Acoustics: Conducting noise impact assessments and advising on strategies to minimise noise pollution for urban and rural developments.
Room Acoustics: Designing acoustic environments for auditoriums, lecture theatres, recording studios, sports centres and other critical spaces.
Testing and Monitoring: Using state-of-the-art equipment to measure and analyse noise and vibration for compliance.You’ll collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to deliver practical and sustainable acoustic solutions.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a candidate who has the following:
A degree in acoustics, physics, engineering, or a related field.
6 months+ of professional experience in Acoustic Consultancy.
Proficiency in acoustic modelling using software such as Odeon or CadnaA.
A full UK driving licence.Professional membership with the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) or working towards it is highly desirable.
