Coopman Search and Selection are currently partnering with a global alternative asset manager who are looking to hire a Compliance Advisory Manager . The role will report in directly into the Head of Compliance who is based over in the UK and form part of a wider team. In this role you will play a key role in supporting the Real Assets business (Real Estate, Infrastructure, Natural Resources, and Energy) by providing expert advice, ensuring regulatory compliance, and helping to develop and implement policies and procedures. The role requires collaboration with business leaders, legal teams, and risk management to ensure the business operates within regulatory and legal boundaries while minimizing risks. Key Responsibilities: Provide real-time regulatory and compliance advice to business units within Real Assets (Real Estate, Infrastructure, Energy, and Natural Resources). Serve as a point of contact for business units on all compliance-related matters, including new product offerings, transactions, and business activities. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including but not limited to Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II), Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD), Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) regulations, and local regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance of all distribution activities, including fund offerings, private placements, cross-border marketing, and public fund marketing, with applicable regulations. Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures tailored to the Real Assets business. Work closely with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, risk, and operations, to provide comprehensive compliance support. Experience Required: Minimum of 5–7 years of compliance experience within real assets, real estate, infrastructure, or investment management Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks applicable to real asset businesses, such as AML, MiFID II, AIFMD, ESG regulations, and relevant local laws. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Proven ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements to complex business transactions.
