Title: Legal Support Manager
Salary Banding: Nottingham NG9 1LA - £48,780 - £50,393 - London EC1N 8JS- £53,192 - £55,922 - (dependent upon location & experience)
Permanent Full-Time Position based on a 37.5hr week - Hybrid post with the expectation of 2 days at home 3 days based in your office location.

We?re on the look out for a confident and pro-active Legal Support Manager to manage a team of Legal Support Caseworkers within a close-knit, busy in-house legal team dealing with all aspects of tenancy and leasehold management law including possession, disrepair, anti-social behaviour plus other tenancy and leasehold issues including service charge disputes.

The role
The role will be to expand, lead and motivate a team of Legal Support Caseworkers to provide efficient, effective and timely administrative and casework support to the in-house Legal Services Team. You will be responsible for:
Leading on recruitment and building and developing an efficient and high performing Legal Support Team to support all functions of the Legal Services Team
Delivering a high quality, effective and timely Legal Support Service through administrative and casework support for the Legal Services Team
Reviewing, creating, managing and updating legal processes, workflows and templates to ensure good quality service in line with the Legal Services Team Service Level Agreement
Auditing files to ensure that quality and compliance of legal advice and representation is at a high standard and support the Head of Legal Services to implement improvements where needed
Managing the triaging of new Legal case referrals and enquiries and effective allocation of cases and enquiries across the team
Overseeing and managing outsourced cases with external legal partners
Producing and presenting relevant reports, documentation and correspondence as required so that reporting is accurate, well presented and processed within required time scales
Ensuring invoices and payments are processed in a timely manner and ensuring that accurate records are kept of all departmental invoices processed for budget purposes
What you'll need to succeed
Knowledge and Experience working within a Legal Team whether in-house or in private practice
Basic knowledge of Housing Law and, specifically, Housing Conditions (Disrepair) Claims
Experience in recruiting, managing and coaching a high performing team
Proven experience in building and sustaining working relationships with key stakeholders and partners both internal and external and act as a ?go to? person
Proven ability of successfully implementing administrative processes to manage a large workload
Excellent communication and written skills
A pro-active and flexible approach to problem solving, initiative taking by evaluating and generating new ideas to improve working methods and team performance
A confident, enthusiastic and collaborative approach with the ability to work under pressure within a team

28th/29th January 2025 - In-person Interviews and presentation* in Farringdon, London
