Part Qualified: £20.06p/h - £21.44p/h PAYE Qualified: £22.03p/h - £24.02p/h PAYE The team are looking for a Management Account to join a Corporate Resources department, whose functions are more support service based and include HR, property, Finance, IT, Customer Services, Business Continuity and Transformation. It is essential that you have local authority finance experience. The role will focus on the delivery of accurate, timely and relevant financial information to Senior Managers including financial reporting and analysis, financial planning and submissions to government or partner organisations. Key Responsibilities: To provide significant engagement with Budget Managers and Senior Managers it is important that they can communicate technical financial information to non-finance specialists in an easily understandable way. They will also be working as part of the business partner team providing financial management support and business advice to service departments, whilst ensuring strong and sustainable links are maintained with the Corporate Centre. The role will focus on the delivery of accurate, timely and relevant financial information to Senior Managers including financial reporting and analysis, financial planning and submissions to government or partner organisations. Working closely with Finance Business Partners the role plays an active part in identifying options that can be taken to optimise short and long-term financial performance and service delivery (efficiency). Qualifications: Either hold NVQ level 4 in a relevant area and membership of AAT or equivalent; OR hold CCAB qualification Skills & Experience Finance local authority experience is essential Experience of using a large footprint ERP (preferably Oracle) and reporting tools Able to communicate technical financial information to non-finance specialists in an easily understandable way. Previous experience working as part of a business partner team providing financial management support and business advice to service departments, Ability to ensure strong and sustainable links are maintained with the Corporate Centre. Experience of delivering accurate, timely and relevant financial information to Senior Managers Experience of providing financial reporting and analysis, financial planning Experience of supporting submissions to government or partner organisations.
