Braxfield Recruitment specialises in connecting talented individuals with meaningful opportunities We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Clerk of Works based in London to join a great team within a large London Based Housing Association on a 12 month FTC basis.
Location: This is a hybrid role covering multiple locations across London.
Salary: Circa £55,000 - £60,000
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day quality control and compliance across the Social Housing Decarbonisation fund programme and Planned Works.
Conduct regular site visits to assess the progress and quality of works being carried out, ensuring building standards and design specifications are being met.
Verifying that work complies with the latest building regulations.
Directing and monitoring contractors, acting as their main point of contact and providing technical advise and guidance.
Liaising directly with residents.
Requirements:
An in depth knowledge of construction standards and design specifically in relations to energy efficiency and sustainable building practices.
Exceptional communication skills across all levels and forms of delivery.
Experience in a similar role within the housing or public sector works.
Qualified HNC/HND level building studies or equivalent.
