About the job The Asset Management System Manager will lead in the creation and management of polices, business processes and procedures to maintain ISO 55001 in Asset Management and other ISO standards as required within Infrastructure & Property and SWR. The role will be accountable for ensuring that policies for Asset Management, technical specifications and standards meet our vision of a full asset lifecycle and are sustainable to deliver our long term Asset management vision and maintain ISO 55001 accreditation. Your main responsibilities will be: A key role of Infrastructure & Property team to drive the accreditation forward in maintaining ISO55001 in Asset Management. Drive continuous improvements in the performance of our existing and future assets by developing and maintaining all assets polices. Ensure all contracts and technical specifications take account of and comply with the ISO55001 Asset Management. Ensure the SWR Asset Register for all assets is kept up to date, and change details are fully followed. Support our internal and external audits to ensure compliance with ISO 55001 across all parts of the business. Ensure that cases for change are backed up with robust evidence and successfully implemented across the business and with relevant maintenance contractor. Attend meeting with the maintenance contractor's to ensure compliance with Network Rail Standards and Maintenance Specification. Have a thorough understanding of the standards that apply to your role as it is your responsibility to adhere to these and to ensure that they are fully implemented. Ensure that all locations are maintained in accordance with the required specification and at the correct maintenance frequency. Understand specifications / scopes in electrical & mechanical, and building works to ensure all statutory regulation and obligations are adhered to. Liaise with other parts of the business and within First Group to ensure regular reviews of the process / procedures. Comply with the SWR financial requirements. Implement, manage and maintain the policies and procedures and all other documentation for ISO 55001 Asset Management System within SWR to ensure annual accreditation. Interface with the Infrastructure & Property Team / third parties to ensure requirements of Asset Management are understood and upon completion of projects all relevant information is received. Support and develop our asset management plan in conjunction with the Asset Enhancement Manager, Station and Fleet Facilities Managers, Senior SSIS Manager and Head of Infrastructure & Property. Report on KPI performance and make recommendations which will support the Infrastructure & Property and Business requirements. Ensure any implemented CAFM (computer aided facilities management) system serves our business requirements to ensure SWR is able to analyse asset performance. Define Asset Information Requirements. Process and analyse AM data as required to make appropriate AM information available for decision making. Support the SWR sustainability policy through the recommendation of energy efficient assets Ensure Asset Management is delivered in accordance with the First Group Policy and Procedures. Prepare and maintain documented project files for Asset Management and track progress against planned programmes. Interface with different parts of the business to ensure alignment with SWR Safety and Health Procedures. Work in conjunction with the SWR Infrastructure & Property Team to achieve the Asset Management objectives. You'll need: Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Must have good IT skills and be comfortable using email, spreadsheet and word-processing software and have extensive experience of planned and reactive maintenance job tracking databases. Must have a proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels within a large organisation. High standards of general education and ideally with professional qualifications in a building maintenance or construction discipline to minimum HNC level. Ideally should have and understanding, experience or qualification in ISO 55001 Asset Management. A sound knowledge of construction and its legislative framework and ideally experience of construction in the railway technical environment. About the location Basingstoke Campus, more commonly known as the ROC, is a state-of-the-art operating centre and training facility located a short walk from Basingstoke station. It is a shared facility with Network Rail and is the hub for all operations across the Wessex region.
