Job Description Head of Project Development London (hybrid) Utility Scale Solar / BESS Development Company I am recruiting a newly created Head of Project Development / Lead Project Developer role, to work closely with the leadership team of a growing, well-funded Development Business based in Central London. You will work closely with the Managing Director and Head of Grid, to develop and grow a pipeline of Utility Scale Solar & Storage projects, with the business targeting both greenfield development and acquisitions within the UK market. They are funded by a leading global investment business with considerable investment confirmed into the Development arm of the business for the coming years meaning a blank canvas for a creative Development Manager who really wants to get their teeth into developing innovative, utility scale projects. Expected Remuneration: £85K - £100K DOE + bonus scheme + other benefits. (if the role is of interest but negotiation required on remuneration, please still apply) Job Responsibilities Identify new potential utility-scale projects through various sources including utilizing a data-driven software-based approach to identify land to target. Oversee land acquisition efforts. Involvement in direct landowner negotiations, also managing external land agent partners. Represent the company to external/key stakeholders including local councils and government, officials, consultants, landowners. Manage all aspects of the project development process (land acquisitions, permitting, environmental studies, leading public hearing processes, creating and maintaining relationships with local stakeholders, etc). Work closely with internal company departments (engineering, finance, legal, operations) to identify and minimize project risks. Implement solutions to maximize project value. Work with technical team and external consultants to assist with the grid connection process. Create and manage project budgets and schedules.
