We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to contribute to impactful projects within the UK water sector. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure (Trunk Mains, Distribution Mains, strategic connections) and non-infrastructure projects (production site civils and structural alterations), delivering innovative and sustainable solutions.
Our client, a well-established UK-based consultancy, is known for delivering engineering excellence across frameworks with Thames Water, Affinity Water, and Southern Water. Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership:
Manage projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality outcomes, and adherence to budget.
Provide guidance and mentorship to project teams to achieve successful results.Client Engagement:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their objectives and delivering tailored solutions.Collaborative Working:
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including contractors, structural engineers, and environmental specialists.
Foster a cooperative and inclusive environment to deliver seamless project execution.Quality Assurance:
Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure all deliverables meet the highest industry standards.Innovation and Sustainability:
Stay updated with emerging technologies and advancements in the industry.
Contribute to sustainable engineering practices and innovative project approaches.
About You
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent industry experience).
Over 5 years of experience in the water sector, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status (or working towards) is highly desirable.
Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and structural analysis software.
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and materials.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
A commitment to safety, sustainability, and maintaining high standards of engineering excellence.
