Rice Lake Weighing Systems is seeking a Director of Information Systems, Europe. The position can be based anywhere in Europe within one hour drive of an international airport; it will require 50% travel. Adding this position will satisfy three strategic initiatives: First, coordinate information systems services for RLWS' European locations (currently Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, and United Kingdom) which support approximately 450 employees. Second, successfully lead the Epicor Kinetic ERP implementation for the international locations which will culminate in one, integrated global system. Third, support organizational growth by securely advancing technical infrastructure and sophistication. This will require a highly capable IT generalist with exceptional business process acumen.
The Director of Information Systems, Europe, will work with all business technology stakeholders, leadership, and subject matter experts to build a holistic, technology agnostic view of the organization's strategy, business processes and information systems assets. They will be a key member of the RLWS Leadership Team. This requires big picture thinking, effective communication, understanding of organizational processes, financial expertise, results orientation, managing conflict, developing talent, effective vendor relationships and a global perspective. In addition, other duties, knowledge, skills and abilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Provide leadership for information systems employees in diverse, matrixed locations
- Business planning and budgeting to ensure ongoing systems viability
- Manage information systems projects, technical support activities and networks
- Complex business systems process analysis and design
- Manage information systems contracts for products and services
- Cybersecurity preparedness for future business environments
- Supports users with information systems tools to improve customer service
- Establish international information systems policies and procedures

The minimum qualifications for the Director of Information Systems, Europe, include a relevant Bachelor's Degree, at least 10 years of applicable work experience in information technology and 5 years managing in a complex, international setting required. ERP implementation, broad business process and accounting knowledge required. Spoken and written English fluency required (C1); Spanish or Italian language for business would be a plus. Excellent organization, communication, analytical, decision-making, problem-solving skills and working under stress required.
