Senior Compliance Manager - Reinsurance Role Overview As the Senior Compliance Manager (reinsurance SME), You will help set a culture of openness that enables sustainable entrepreneurial growth, relevant to a rapidly growing reinsurance business. Duties Lead the development of an annual reinsurance Compliance Plan Work with other support functions and with Second Line of Defence colleagues Advise senior management and the business on acquisitions Respond to concerns or breaches identified by local First or Second Line of Defence Functions. Act as a referral point for the business on compliance or regulatory matters Establish strong working relationships that create a compliance culture Support and advise senior management and the business. Support the business in preparing for and resolving Group Internal Audit reviews. Create Second Line of Defence resources. Continuously improve Second Line communication channels. Design and, where necessary, perform ad-hoc reviews related to compliance matters Skills Strong understanding of UK compliance frameworks Comfortable operating in matrix environments; Strong communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Highly adaptable Strong experience of project management Ability to deploy Compliance frameworks Experience 5 years’ experience in compliance functions in the Reinsurance market A strong understanding of corporate governance in the Reinsurance market Experience of preparing and presenting reports at the Board level Experience of supporting the most senior levels in a corporate environment Experience of setting Compliance policies and standards.
