Join us as an Assistant Landscape Architect and be at the centre of excellence delivering projects by our multi-disciplinary design, engineering and environmental teams. Your purpose:"An Assistant Landscape Architect has a range of responsibilities that support senior team members and contribute to the design and implementation of landscape projects. Here are some of the principal accountabilities:
- Project Assistance: Assisting senior landscape architects with project management, design development, and technical drawing.
- Collaboration: Working closely with landscape architects, ecologists, and arboriculturists to ensure cohesive project outcomes.
- Site Visits: Participating in site visits to gather information, assess conditions, and monitor project progress.
- Report Writing:Supporting in the production of technical reports and specifications.
- Design Workshops: Engaging in design workshops to develop creative solutions and detailed designs
- Graphic Production: Creating visual representations of landscape designs, including plans, sections, details and 3D models.
- Environmental Improvements: Preparing project briefs for landscape and environmental improvements to public open spaces".
What you can bring:- You will need a Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Masters qualification in Landscape Architecture and be working towards, or have a desire to become, a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute.
- Ability to report write and high-quality presentation and communication skills.
- Excellent team working skills working within multi-disciplinary projects.
- A passion for design and willingness to learn.
- An awareness of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment methodologies.
- Good proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe software packages with a passion to explore the use of Revit, Sketch Up and Enscape used as a design tool and for presentational outputs.
- Experience and an understanding of BIM.
- Confident team worker, who is open minded and flexible in their approach to the types of work we do.
- Applicants must hold a full valid driving licence and live within a reasonable travelling distance of Woodcote Grove office in Epsom, Surrey.
