At Ecocareers, we are dedicated to fostering a sustainable future. As part of our commitment, we pledge to plant a tree for every job application made through our platform. Our mission is to create a positive impact on the environment while supporting job seekers in finding meaningful employment in the sustainability sector.
How We Plant Trees
While we aim to plant a tree for every application, we face certain limitations due to tracking challenges. To ensure we fulfill our promise, we have established the following protocols:
1. Direct Applications on Our Site
Every time a user applies for a job directly through the Ecocareers platform, we will plant a tree.
2. Partner Reports
We collaborate with various partners who provide us with reports on job applications. Based on these reports, we will plant a tree for each application submitted through our partners.
3. Estimating Application Data
In cases where we do not receive comprehensive application data, we will calculate the average conversion rate for that month and plant trees accordingly. This ensures that even if some applications go untracked, we still make a significant contribution to reforestation efforts.
Trees for the Future
We are proud to announce our partnership with Trees for the Future, an organization dedicated to improving the livelihoods of impoverished farmers by revitalizing degraded lands through tree planting. Trees for the Future employs an innovative Forest Garden Program that provides farmers with training, seeds, and support to grow sustainable and productive gardens in various locations, including Sub-Saharan Africa, Central America, and South Asia. This not only helps to restore the environment but also ensures food security, income generation, and community resilience. By transforming degraded land into productive, sustainable farms, Trees for the Future creates a long-lasting positive impact on both people and the planet.
Each month, once we have determined the correct number of applications, we make a donation to Trees for the Future to cover the cost of planting the corresponding number of trees. This approach allows us to support global reforestation projects while maintaining transparency and accountability in our tree planting initiative. Our collaboration ensures that our tree planting efforts are effective and impactful, contributing to sustainable agricultural practices and improved livelihoods for communities in need.
