Cirencester, GL7, with Occasional Travel to GB and Ireland & Hybrid Flex

The Operations Manager Role:
As Operations Manager, you will oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of our terminals across GB and Ireland, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. You will lead and support the Operations Executives, helping them achieve operational targets and deliver products to customers effectively.
In this role, you will also manage key external relationships critical to the business, including terminals and carriers. A strong understanding of the company’s ERP and QMS systems is essential, as you will ensure these systems integrate seamlessly with operational procedures to drive performance.
Key Accountabilities - Deliver operational excellence with precision, professionalism, and impact.
- Team Leadership: Oversee the Ops Exec team, ensuring seamless internal and external coverage.
- Terminal Coordination: Manage outbound performance, including stock management, processing, and loading.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to procedures with all service partners.
- SLA Management: Set and monitor service level targets to achieve consistent results.
- Cost and Revenue Control: Oversee processing activity budgets and expenditure approvals.
- Invoice Authorisation: Approve haulage-related invoices with accuracy and diligence.
- Operational Standards: Maintain and enforce SOPs within outbound operations.
- Stock Management: Supervise terminal stock-taking programs and ensure accuracy.
- Team Support: Provide coverage for Operations Executives as needed.
- Financial Reporting: Manage delivery cut-offs for month-end and year-end finance processes.
- Compliance Reporting: Ensure completion of CAR processes for outbound operations.
- Internal Communication: Participate in Internal Comms Group meetings, sharing insights and feedback.
About You:
- Thorough knowledge of Operations Management preferably relevant to our industry
- Hold a background in operating ERP systems
- Excellent inter-personal skills
