We are looking for Nuclear Mechanical Systems Engineers with experience of delivering Mechanical Engineer projects within the nuclear sector. If you join us then you will have opportunity to work with a variety of clients in the UK nuclear sector to deliver projects supporting the current operation fleet and new build projects.
Current project examplesExamples of work being carried out by the team currently include:
- Working with the equipment suppliers, commissioning engineers and system owners for nuclear cranes for Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC) to address design non-conformances and to commission the cranes that will be used in the reactor and turbine buildings.
- Developing practicable safety case strategies and remediation actions where necessary for nuclear tanks for HPC with unknown defects.
- Designing containment layout for the UK SMR to integrate components as the design evolves and ensure that systems are able to be maintained whilst following modular design principles.
- Developing the requirements and specification of components and systems for advanced nuclear technologies, and designing solutions to deliver these requirements.
Requirements:- A degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Mid level experience in nuclear sector or another highly regulated industry
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations related to nuclear power
- Experience of design, delivery, commissioning or resolution of technical issues during operation of mechanical equipment and/or systems on large engineering plants.
- Ability to provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to nuclear reactor systems and components
