We’re looking for a Digital Executive to support our website, digital operations, and special projects as we continue to enhance our digital proposition. The role : As Digital Executive, you will need to be digitally-savvy, well-organised, and have a good eye for detail. Your main responsibilities will be to support the Senior Digital Editor in the content management and administration of wanderlustmgazine.com. For the first six-months, your focus will be migrating articles as we complete a website migration. Your role will include working on initiatives to support our growth in SEO and digital audience development, through the careful management, cleansing and organisation of content. As the Digital Executive, you will support the Creative Digital Director and Digital Specialist on special projects throughout the year. You will also support our social media activities through the execution of a content plan, scheduling, reporting, and moderating our social channels. Key responsibilities: Content management : You will support the Senior Digital Editor to ensure legacy and new content is published on wanderlustmagazine.com to optimise reader experience; SEO; and paid search. This will require careful administration, organisation, and planning. Migration : Wanderlust is undergoing a digital transformation, with a recent change in CMS and domains from wanderlust.co.uk to wanderlustmagazine.com, there are several projects to migrate and manage content, and optimise SEO value. You will be tasked with the migration of articles which requires meticulous attention to detail, lightweight coding, and an understanding of UI/UX principles. This is a major technical project that will require a problem solving approach and can-do attitude. Social media : Through social media management tools, and agency support, you will be involved with scheduling, reporting, community moderation, and execution of social media activities – with a focus on Instagram and Meta. Data management : You will support our consumer and trade CRM, ensuring data hygiene, updating contacts, and data research. Special projects : Throughout the year, Wanderlust embarks on several projects – including Visions (photo and video competition), events, and our awards – which you will support the Digital Creative Director and Digital Specialist on various initiatives. Commercial delivery : There may be the requirement to support the Commercial Delivery team with tasks covering customer success, paid social, building statistics of campaign performance, reporting, and project management. Who we are looking for: We are looking for someone who is digitally savvy, and with the right skills set, or ability to build on existing skills and learn new ones – including: · Experience in content management systems (preferably Wordpress) · Basic HTML and CSS knowledge · Understanding of UI/UX design principles · Data management and handling · Experience with analytics tools · Understanding of SEO tactics · Experience with project management tools (like Asana, Trello) · Experience with social media management tools (Sprout Social, Hootsuite or similar) · Content planning skills · A passion for travel and the values of Wanderlust . · Ability to manage a heavy workload, prioritise and deliver to deadlines.
