H9 Technical Recruitment are hiring for a Junior Grid specialist to work for our renewable energy client in London to support the integration of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro, etc.) into national and regional power grids. You will work alongside senior specialists to ensure successful grid connection planning, design, and compliance for renewable energy installations, helping contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable energy future. Role and Responsibilities Grid Connection Studies: Assist in performing grid impact studies, feasibility assessments, and power flow analysis to determine the technical and economic viability of renewable energy projects connecting to the grid. Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure grid connection designs meet local and national regulations, grid codes, and technical standards. Connection Design Support: Assist in designing grid connections, including preparing technical drawings, specifications, and layouts for substations, switchgear, and associated infrastructure.
