The Role As a Senior Ecologist, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality ecological advice for a diverse portfolio of renewable energy projects. From solar farms and onshore wind to emerging technologies, you'll be involved in shaping projects that make a tangible difference. Key Responsibilities ·Lead ecological surveys, assessments, and mitigation strategies. ·Provide expert advice to clients, stakeholders, and project teams. ·Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with legislation. ·Mentor and guide junior ecologists. ·Prepare technical reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEA) and Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA). ·Engage with regulators and stakeholders to ensure project success. About You ·Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. ·Full membership of CIEEM (or eligibility). ·Proven experience in consultancy, with a focus on renewable energy projects. ·Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy. ·Demonstrable experience in survey design, protected species work, and habitat assessments. ·Excellent project management and communication skills. ·A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel as required.
