The Head of Finance Business Partnering E&SC will lead the finance business partnering function for the BL in the UK, covering the following SLs - Nuclear, Architecture, Façade & Sustainability, Water & Energy. Job Description This role forms part of the finance team in the UK, reporting to the UK CFO and the Country Director for Energy & Sustainable Cities BL (with responsibilities to Service Line FP&A where in place). This role will work closely with the SLs in the UK to drive financial performance and strategic decision-making, and to ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, reporting and consolidation. Key Responsibilities: Leading finance business partnering function for the E&SC BL in the UK. Responsible for the financial and commercial support for the Business Line in the UK, and accountable to the E&SC Country Business Line Director (CBLD) for provision of the service. Reporting to both the UK Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the E&SC CBLD, this role will provide real-time support and analysis, and aid effective decision making to the E&SC CBLD and the E&SC Project Leads. Managing, and optimising, a small team of financial managers and finance leads responsible for SL finance. Leading the transformation of the E&SC BL finance function, from system implementation, through to incorporation of acquisitions to the adoption of a Shared Services based model. Main responsibilities include: Strategic Partnership: Act as a trusted partner to the Country BL Director, in all aspects of financial management, from project invoicing and invoicing guidance, to financial inputs into the bidding process. Be responsible to the country CFO for the financial reporting & compliance of the BL. Financial support on M&A activity for the BL. Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial performance. End to end annual budget preparation and rolling monthly forecasting. Performance Management: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Provide support, insight and challenge around cost control. Decision Support: Provide financial insights to support business decisions, including investment evaluations, cost management, and pricing strategies. Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of finance managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Reporting & Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, and prepare reports for stakeholders. Lead annual audit process for E&SC entities. Change Management: Implementation lead of a new finance reporting solution. E&SC lead on SSC task transition. Act as a key player in the continued implementation of the new Operating Model. Qualifications This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, exceptional leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of financial principles. A relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Proven experience in finance business partnering, financial planning & analysis, or a similar role. Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior management. Experience of business transformation. Demonstrable experience partnering non-finance stakeholders. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail. Proficient in financial modeling and analysis tools, as well as ERP and reporting software (Oracle preferable). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
