To identify and effectively manage/resolve risks to ATL Group’s compliance, including leading a robust process of root cause analysis/continuous improvement. Main Duties Ownership of the organisation’s compliance with the GDPR and data protection practices, including document control. In conjunction with the HR team, responsible for ensuring that employees remain sufficiently trained in GDPR/data protection practices. Responsible for ensuring that ATL Group operates in conjunction with accurate, monitored and maintained data retention schedules. In conjunction with the Group Head of People & Development, responsible for ensuring the organisation’s compliance with modern slavery requirements; including: understanding the supply chain and implementing measures to ensure modern slavery is not present within this; preparing reporting information, as required; and ensuring employees are sufficiently trained in modern slavery identification and actioning. Responsible for Military & Defence Export licensing; and market due diligence. Ownership of the development and maintenance of ATL Group’s “net zero” strategy. Ownership of the implementation and ongoing management of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism. Responsible for ensuring compliance with the ‘International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)’. Ownership of US Government portals. Responsible for conflict minerals reporting. Ownership of the business legal and risk register. Responsible for regular contractual reviews, including: customer; supplier; flow-downs; non-disclosure agreements; and business compliance portal maintenance. Ownership of the IT infrastructure, including: management of the IT budget, in conjunction with the Chief Executive Officer; leadership/management of IT employees; management of IT related implementations/projects; ensuring that they meet the needs of the business, and are delivered within the agreed budgets and schedules; aiding IT employees with trouble-shooting issues and/or escalating these to appropriate parties, if needed; overseeing the robustness of ATL Group’s IT security, ensuring IT systems are structured in a manner that minimises the risk of unauthorised access/attack; ensuring, in conjunction with the HR team, that employees receive sufficient training in IT compliance and security; responsibility for a process of continuous improvement, ensuring that IT infrastructure continues to sufficiently meet the needs of a developing business. In all facets of the role, conduct (and lead) robust processes of root cause analysis; the implementation of corrective actions/measures; and the implementation of relevant and robust preventative measures. In conjunction with this, ensuring employees remain trained, coached and monitored with respect to evolving processes and practices. Responsible for ensuring that robust trend analysis is conducted into all data generated by, and within, this role (and that this forms part of a process of continuous improvement); and, in conjunction with this, that the Chief Executive Officer remains appropriately informed of high-level business risks and opportunities. In conjunction with the Chief Executive Officer, responsible for ensuring that management employees are accountable for also conducting and leading related processes of continuous improvement; and that these feed appropriately into their departmental plans for learning and developing. Responsible for conducting regular internal auditing, to ensure that ATL Group remains compliant and evolving in the business areas associated with this job role. Responsible for the scoping, budgeting, implementation plans and change management processes associated with bespoke projects assigned by the Chief Executive Officer; with a commitment to environmental scanning and business development. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, and in conjunction with the HR team, responsible for chairing processes associated with complex employee cases.
