Job Description Debt and Liquidity Management : Lead and negotiate debt-raising activities at corporate, asset, and project levels, including bonds, bank loans, and commodity prepayments. Scenario Planning : Conduct liquidity scenario planning to align with operational and macroeconomic considerations, managing the Group's liquidity model. Compliance and Forecasting: Oversee compliance reporting for debt undertakings and manage related forecasting. Risk Management: Lead treasury risk management activities, including hedging strategies for liquidity, commodity, and FX risks. Advisory and Trade Finance: Provide expert advice to operating companies on treasury and funding plans, guarantees, and trade finance. Banking and Investor Relations: Maintain and build relationships with banking partners, credit rating agencies, and debt investors. Process Development: Enhance treasury systems and processes for greater efficiency. Leadership: Develop and manage the Treasury Specialist - Liquidity and Projects, contributing to team effectiveness and treasury goals. Key Result Areas: Ensuring adequate funding for strategic goals through successful fundraising and covenant compliance. Creating robust liquidity strategies, integrating group forecasts and macroeconomic scenarios. Developing FX, interest rate, and commodity price strategies to maintain liquidity and reduce volatility. Contributing to Group reports, ensuring successful audit and compliance of Treasury sections. The Successful Applicant A successful Assistant Treasurer should have: Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master's or MBA desirable). Professional certification (e.g., ACT, CFA, CPA) is advantageous. 8-10 years of treasury experience in a multinational, ideally within mining or extractives. Technical Skills Proven experience in banking facilities and bond documentation, compliance management, and multinational financial relationships. Expertise in treasury models, liquidity planning, and understanding of macroeconomic factors. Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters) and advanced Excel modeling.
