We are currently recruiting a Managing Director to join our Inpoint team in London, UK. The team provides strategy consulting and advisory services to Aon Inpoint’s clients, which include many of the most prestigious companies in Global Reinsurance. We help our clients navigate a fast-changing market environment to drive profitable and sustainable growth and business results. We have privileged access to Aon’s proprietary data and the knowledge of its global network of insurance industry experts to derive unique and compelling insights into the sources of competitive advantage in our industry. You will join the team as a Managing Director with overall responsibility for the successful growth of our advisory business focused on Reinsurance clients. Your role will include full accountability for the P&L associated with our reinsurance client base and will require strong and sustainable relationships with C-Suite client executives as well as the leadership of Aon’s reinsurance practice. You will be leading complex consultative sales as well as the delivery of a range of advisory services to clients, managing project teams to complete strategic initiatives and taking responsibility for critical business functions. As part of the London team, you will be based in the historic centre of the insurance world working with the most prestigious global players in helping them define their future. About the Role Your key responsibilities will involve: Managing the growth plans and strategy for Aon Inpoint’s advisory business in the reinsurance sector Successfully growing the reinsurance advisory practice from its current revenue base of $7m through the creation and delivery of a strategy to grow revenue and extend our client base Manage the Re/View sales pipeline globally, ensuring its health and adequacy to deliver against growth targets Using your proven leadership skills to create a cohesive shared culture across Inpoint and Reinsurance Solutions teams Cementing the alignment with senior leadership in Reinsurance Solutions, establishing a governance framework to ensure joint success through your network and credibility Engaging with the finance teams in Reinsurance Solutions and Inpoint to provide monthly updates on revenue targets and pipeline, including liaising with the Reinsurance Analytics leadership in Singapore Overseeing and coordinating delivery of complex advisory services to reinsurance clients in Inpoint, providing guidance and support to Client Leaders Managing a team of consultants, prioritising and coordinating activities with a focus on client delivery and business development Continually role modelling Delivering Aon United behaviours, identifying which parts of Aon are most relevant to the reinsurance segment and building mechanisms to best interact and maximise opportunities About You Significant experience within an advisory business serving the global re-insurance market. Deep market knowledge and experience of advising C Suite clients at reinsurance clients. Proven and extensive experience in selling and delivering consulting/advisory services to clients, ideally in the Financial Services sector, and managing teams to deliver complex projects. Track record of successfully building growth plans and accelerating business development within an advisory function. Credibility and a strong network across both Aon’s reinsurance practice and also reinsurance clients. Strong client focus, highly developed interpersonal skills – team leadership, relationship building, communication. Accomplished communicator, demonstrating personal qualities of planning, commitment, resolving problems, decisiveness, and commitment to personal development. Broad business acumen.
