Let’s unlock a brighter, more exciting future together. About the team: There are around 50,000 Convenience stores in the UK, comprising of Independents (both unaffiliated and Symbol Groups). The sector is worth over £45bn in sales and alcohol represents 18% of that. Our key account customers will be spread across England, Scotland and Wales helping us to target joint sales growth and value opportunities. The Convenience Key Account team are set-up to play a meaningful role in transforming Diageo’s presence in the Convenience sector, connecting our brands with SME local businesses to leverage route to consumer expertise, unlock new opportunities and keep the Independent Operator and our joint customers at the heart of decision making. The role of the Key Account Executive is to own and lead the commercial agenda for approximately 100 outlets. Key focus areas include growing the P&L through winning new customers and growing joint business through driving distribution of priority brands, winning share and implementing activations. Key Accountabilities: Deliver outstanding activations (both bespoke and non-bespoke) Customer and consumer masterclasses Lead a P&L Deliver a strong return on investment (ROI) through contractual agreements, supervising spend and forecasting planned activity/ spend with key customers across the year Deliver against a full year annual operating plan (FY AOP) in line with our key account ambition Responsible for leading new business opportunities within the team In outlet performance and execution levels accurately tracked and measured (in CRM system where deployed) About you: Sales experience in a similar sales/activation led role or from the trade including outlet management. Fantastic analytical skills and ability to compile & collate data to derive insight and action Excellent relationship-building and communication skills Ability to interact and influence at multiple levels Strong category understanding Target Driven Organised – can handle a host of priorities.
