As Head, Global Digital Communications, you will be responsible for leading and delivering digital communications strategy across paid and organic global channels – to deliver newsflow and tell our Ahead Together story in a joined-up, innovative and impactful way. Key responsibilities: Leads and delivers digital communications strategy for integrated Ahead Together storytelling and company news flow across paid and organic global channels Develops and deploys digital content and appropriate tactics (organic + paid + bespoke campaigns) to reach priority audiences Responsible for editorial management of digital communications globally to ensure alignment with Communications and Government Affairs (CGA) function priorities and company news flow Responsible for ensuring global digital comms powerfully impact delivery of CGA objectives Partners across CGA and GSK to deliver strategy, expertise, and content for digital channels, including with R&D, medical and product teams, ViiV, HR, ESG team, Global Media team, US Digital team and Global Internal Engagement team Builds, leads, and inspires a highly capable team of digital communication experts, including effective mentoring and development Sets and maintains high standards of writing across output, particularly in relation to scripts and long-form content Manages overall relationship with key agencies supporting delivery of key campaigns (currently WPP for creative and Publicis for paid). Focus on delivery of excellent content and financial efficiency Responsible for ensuring GSK’s digital communications content stays at leading edge of industry standards Ensures content meets all appropriate regulatory and legal requirements for the industry while also staying relevant and impactful for priority audiences Basic Qualifications: Significant experience in corporate communications or related disciplines including experience of digital communications or campaign management Significant experience of pharma industry or similarly highly regulated industry Expertise in developing and delivering digital communications strategy to meet organisational objectives Experience of leading agency relationships Proven track record as an energising team leader, comfortable working with skilled professionals across a range of communications and technical disciplines Experience and enthusiasm for working with executives and senior leaders across communications, commercial and R&D business units on high profile and time sensitive programmes Open to change and new ways of working, constantly looking to innovate and improve the way the organisation thinks about digital comms Job-related skills Excellent problem-solver and strategic thinker, able to see the heart of a business issue quickly, with a proven track record of setting and delivering digital comms strategy Highly creative, with strong writing skills, well-honed news-sense, and ability to tell a compelling story to audiences Proven ability to build rapport and maintain strong, effective relationships with internal stakeholders Strong understanding of insights generation and audience profiling Strong understand of trends in corporate digital communications and best methods to reach key audiences Pr eferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree LI-GSK Why GSK?
