The project: Our security advisory team works across multiple sectors, helping our clients to solve complex problems with a focus on security acting as an enabling factor. You will be joining a growing business within Mace consult that is focused on delivery excellence and developing lasting relationships with our clients. The role will be based in London, with a requirement for travel both domestically within the United Kingdom and occasional international travel. We are seeking an experienced individual to join our growing security advisory business in a senior role within the team. This is a critical role in growing our capability in providing subject matter expertise and innovative thinking to our clients. The candidate will be expected to support the senior management team in leading and managing security projects from inception to completion. Your role will support the successful delivery of projects across multiple sectors, including critical national infrastructure, central government, defence, and the private sector. The role will include responsibility to lead on projects in a client-facing capacity and lead small project teams. Lead client-facing projects, managing engagement and deliverables. Support senior management in business development, growing existing client relationships, and attracting new business. Mentor junior staff and enhance their capabilities in security advisory. Provide professional, informed security advice to clients and colleagues. You’ll need to have: Proven track record in undertaking security advisory work on high-profile projects in relevant sectors. An experienced security professional who has a deep understanding of different threat and risk methodologies, security strategy, and master planning. A strategic mindset, capable of seeing the bigger picture to help inform client decision-making positively. Strong presentation skills, able to lead and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and lead discussions with a wider range of stakeholders. Able to capture requirements, understand risk, and develop proportionate responses that are reasonable. Provide expertise on security risk assessment, security strategies, audits, and master planning within the built environment. Possess excellent communication skills to different types of audiences. The successful candidate must obtain UK Government Security Clearance (SC minimum). Proven history of successfully managing and delivering security consulting projects. Strong knowledge of security risk assessment methodologies, security technologies, and industry best practices. Professional Membership of a relevant professional security body (SyI, ASIS, APM, IRM etc.). Relevant degree in security risk management, project management, engineering, or a related field. Good understanding of resource, commercial, and bid management. You’ll also have: Ability to lead and act on own initiative but be a strong team player who actively shares knowledge and ideas in an open and honest manner. Be interested in developing own knowledge on emerging threats, trends, and new technologies. Comfortable in preparing outline technical reports on different types of security systems (i.e., VSS, IDS, ACS, HVM, Building Hardening, and other security elements). Chartered Security Professional (i.e., RSES, CySP) or Chartered Engineer. Experience in organisational, operational, or cyber security disciplines.
