We are looking for a Head of Net Zero to join the Sustainability Team. Reporting directly to the Director of Sustainability, you will lead the way in taking comprehensive action to address the climate impact of flying. A typical day will see you working with stakeholders across the business including operations, finance, government affairs, legal, communications, human resources and investor relations, as well as engaging with external environments such as Airbus and Rolls-Royce. Requirements of the Role We are seeking a dynamic individual to drive the continuous evolution and delivery of easyJet’s award-winning net zero strategy, expanding it into a comprehensive climate action plan addressing all aspects of aviation-driven climate change. This role requires a subject matter expert in aviation climate issues, including decarbonisation and non-CO2 mitigation, who can serve as an advisor up to the AMB level. As the face of net zero at easyJet, you will establish a reputation as a leader in aviation sustainability, representing the company at external events and driving initiatives through our net zero partnerships to achieve long-term climate goals. Key Responsibilities: Own and continuously improve the net zero strategy and modelling. Manage net zero partnerships with key industry players like Airbus and Rolls-Royce. Oversee a portfolio of net zero projects. Develop expertise in aviation climate issues and influence senior leadership to incorporate sustainability within the company. Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations. Manage the Net Zero Manager and support environmental sustainability reporting. This role reports to the Director of Sustainability and requires excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills. Key Skills Required: To succeed in this role you will need at least five years of airline experience in Strategy, Finance, Commercial, or Operations with a good understanding of business management. A technical background in science or engineering and experience in sustainability would also be beneficial. You must possess excellent analytical skills and be skilled in Excel and other analytic tools, as well as being able to manage complex models with precision. You’re required to have strong verbal and written communication, including the ability to present to senior stakeholders. It’s also beneficial to have prior knowledge of aircraft and airline management, as well as project management experience.
