With a hands-on culture and close proximity to its clients, Sogeti is currently looking for Performance & Operational Acceptance Testing Lead to join our Quality Engineering and Test Practice, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving impactful value creation for our clients.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time. Your role
Essential Skills:
- The candidate must be eligible for UK SC clearance due to the project's sensitive nature and access requirements.
- Significant experience as a Performance Test Manager, ideally within large-scale infrastructure projects. The candidate should be able to oversee testing processes in complex systems and should have knowledge of both performance testing and Operational Acceptance Testing.
- Expertise in defining Performance Test Approaches and preparing Test Plans and Click-path documentation.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools, preferably Login VSI.
- Ability to manage and oversee performance testing activities conducted by suppliers, ensuring they adhere to test strategy and timelines.
- Some experience in Operational Acceptance Testing for applications, including, backup & recovery, audit & logging, and system resilience.
- Proven capability in working with technical SMEs to create Test Plans, schedules, and scripts tailored for live environment readiness.
- Track record in managing fixed-price projects and leading cross-functional, multi-vendor teams.
- Proficiency in planning, tracking, and reporting testing progress and outcomes within Jira.
- Strong understanding of ITIL best practices to ensure the integration and operational stability of SCADA systems within the IT environment.

Your skills and experience
Mandatory Skills:
- Knowledge of SCADA systems and Mulesoft integration framework.
- Performance testing, especially within critical infrastructure settings, including troubleshooting and defining metrics for system stability and recovery.
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders and suppliers, aligning objectives, escalating issues as needed, and communicating testing progress clearly.
- Proficiency in Jira for test documentation, tracking, and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting testing challenges, making informed decisions, and providing oversight of vendor testing activities aligned with the test strategy.
- Define and document the Performance Test Approach, including detailed Test Plans and Click-path documents.
- Conduct end-to-end performance testing and prepare detailed reports on testing outcomes.
- Establish OAT objectives focused on system stability, such as process walkthroughs, backup and recovery, and resilience testing.
- Collaborate with technical SMEs to develop and execute OAT Test Plans for the application stack in the target live environment.
- Manage OAT execution, monitor results, and address issues promptly.
- Prepare regular progress reports, summarizing key activities, issues, and testing outcomes for stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively operate within a complex, multi-vendor environment.
Your security clearance
To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
