We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Account Director to join our dynamic team in the events industry. This is a pivotal role, where you will oversee the delivery of large-scale B2B events and drive account growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing high-value client accounts and ensuring exceptional project execution, with an emphasis on fostering long-term client relationships and expanding business opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning and delivery of large-scale B2B events, each with an average value of £1m per project. Drive client growth by identifying opportunities to expand accounts and exceed client expectations. Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, tracking and reporting on account growth in terms of revenue and percentage growth. Build and nurture client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for key accounts. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure flawless project execution and adherence to client objectives. Develop and implement strategies for year-on-year account growth, ensuring sustainable and measurable results. Monitor project performance to ensure profitability, quality, and client satisfaction. Requirements: Proven experience working in the events industry, with a track record of delivering large-scale B2B projects worth £1m per project (not cumulative). Demonstrable success in growing client accounts year-on-year within a full-time, permanent role (freelance experience will not be considered). Strong oversight of project delivery, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and ensure seamless execution. Evidence of commercial impact, with clear examples of account growth metrics and percentages. Exceptional communication and relationship management skills.
