Who we're looking for
We are seeking a seasoned Programme Manager to lead the implementation of the business operating model and the accompanying technology, data, and process enhancements for our Public Markets Sustainability Programme.
This position demands flexibility and adaptability as you address evolving business priorities. You will take on diverse project roles, including team coordination, programme and project management, dependency oversight, and maintaining budgetary controls. A key responsibility will be to orchestrate change initiatives across our global Technology and Business teams.
The ideal candidate will be an adept communicator, capable of proactively gathering and documenting information using Schroders' standardised artefacts, aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of change management processes. You must exhibit proficiency with standard management methodologies and possess a comprehensive understanding of asset management processes. Additionally, your ability to manage emerging risks and issues is crucial. The role calls for someone who can act autonomously, swiftly recognising issues and dependencies that could impact the successful achievement of programme objectives.

What you'll do
• Work closely with senior stakeholders across Operations, Reporting, Compliance, Legal, and Technology to drive the delivery of the Sustainability Programme, ensuring alignment with Schroders' strategic objectives.
• Lead the development and implementation of plans for critical programme components, ensuring that all activities contribute to the overall sustainability goals.
• Oversee the programme's budget management, including monitoring and controlling internal and external expenditures, and ensuring accurate tracking of forecasted and actual financial outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to Schroders' change management guidelines and protocols, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practice in ways of working.
• Identify, assess, and manage key programme risks and issues, implementing strategies to mitigate potential impacts on programme delivery.
• Chair governance meetings and engage with senior stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and decision-making to support programme objectives.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
• Must have experience in project or programme management within the sustainability regulatory landscape, ensuring compliance and effective implementation of relevant initiatives.
• A minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in programme management, with a track record of successful delivery in complex environments.
• Solid experience in managing and engaging with senior stakeholders, demonstrating the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all organisational levels.
• Extensive experience in managing and leading programme or project teams, fostering collaboration and achieving programme objectives.
• Experience within the asset management industry is advantageous, providing context and insight that benefit programme delivery.
• Proven ability to plan and execute programme activities efficiently and effectively, achieving strategic objectives.
• Self-starter with a proactive approach, capable of working independently and using initiative to drive programme success.
• Strong time management skills, adept at meeting strict deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to dive into specifics when required.
