We are looking for an ambitious, proactive individual, ideally ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified, to take on this key role. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a finance team and excel in a hands-on, growing business environment. You will take ownership of tasks and projects, enjoy mentoring others, and balance operational duties with strategic thinking. As part of a collaborative team, you'll work across various areas of the business.
Duties:

Monthly Management Accounts: Ensure timely production of accurate monthly management accounts and provide insightful analysis to assist the Finance Director in understanding business performance.

Business Partnering: Work with operational teams to provide financial insights that optimise performance and contribute to business success.

Tax and Compliance: Stay informed about tax regulations (e.g., VAT, PAYE, R&D, and Corporation Tax) and ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards.

Review Systems and Controls: Regularly evaluate financial systems and internal controls to identify areas for improvement and ensure they align with the business's evolving needs.

Year-End Support: Collaborate with the Finance Director to prepare year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors for a smooth audit process.

Lead the Finance Team: Manage a small finance team, overseeing daily operations such as accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining the general ledger.

Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow closely to maintain a healthy working capital position that supports operations.
