Research & Development - Home Care category - Europe Business Unit
JOB PURPOSE As part of the Home Care R&D Europe Business Unit, you will work on some of Home Care's most recognisable brands like Persil, Skip, OMO, Surf, Robijn and Coral , deploying our exciting programme of Big Bet innovations and technologies. If you would like to be part of a team that is helping to transform the laundry category in Europe with products that offer new benefits, solve real pain points and grow market share , then this might be the right role for you.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Plan , co-ordinate and run the laboratory preparations and assessments for the products in your portfolio, as part of your innovation and E2E projects
- Support technical validations as part of the 5S and E2E programmes , as well as assessments to support smooth deployment into the supply chain
- Provide insights into relevant competitor products , by co-ordinating assessments and interpretation of data
- Manage the product data journey for the products in your portfolio , for innovation projects as well as changes that result from activities like 5S/E2E/Resilience/Product superiority changes, regulatory changes - this includes entry & management of product information into digital systems , managing interfaces with digital platforms & teams involved in the various stages of the product journey. Digital systems include but not limited to : LIMS, SAP PLM , Pharos , SDS/PCN , Blue, CU-PIRD
- Stakeholder management regarding technical issues/status
- Work with other functional partners like Supply Chain , Procurment and Marketing to ensure the right information is shared at the right time and inputted into networks , risk assessments etc
- Project & technical risk management, ensuring technical action standards are met at key decision points
ALL ABOUT YOU Experiences, Skills & Qualifications - A degree (or equivalent) in a Science or Engineering discipline. Some chemistry background would be great
- You should have some previous product development experience , with experience in liquid and/or surfactant based formats given preference
- Experience and/or sound knowledge of working in a laboratory as your work will require you to prepare product, conduct relevant assessments and monitor/ resolves issues as they arise
- You should be proficient in the digital skills and tools that are needed to support the development, compliance and deployment of the products in your portfolio : SAP PLM , Pharos , Artwork , CU-PIRD, briefing for SDS/PCN (not an exhaustive list). You should also have the curiosity and ability to learn new tools as we continue to improve our systems and data quality
- You should be able to interpret the data you generate in the laboratory , pull out insights and present information to support the technical decision making or issue resolution in your projects
- You should be proactive with a problem solver mindset , bringing your ideas and suggestions to your projects as your strive to develop & deploy the best product experiences for our consumers
- You should be a team player who collaborates with others in the team and communicates well to ensure information/knowledge sharing , creative resolution of problems and constructive challenge to get to better solutions
- You have Product & Consumer Love, so that you strive to develop superior products for our consumers.
