ROLE : FINANCIAL SYSTEMS ACCOUNTANT
REPORTS TO: GROUP FINANCIAL SYSTEMS MANAGER

GROUP/FUNCTION/BU OVERVIEW
The Group Finance function based at the Group Head office in Windsor is responsible for the consolidation and reporting of the actual, budget and forecast results for the Group. The systems team are responsible for the maintenance and development of the consolidation system, a key tool which is used to produce monthly management and statutory reporting.

OVERVIEW & SCOPE OF ROLE
Day to day the systems team responsibilities include user training, upgrades, development, testing, deployment and maintaining system documentation. The key stakeholders of the team include the Group Finance team, local finance teams, internal IT teams and third party support teams.
Whilst the existing consolidation system is well established, regular operational changes in the business result in frequent changes to the system to accommodate reporting requirements. Furthermore, the Group is implementing a new ERP which will provide the opportunity for greater integration between systems within the Group. This is an area which the successful candidate would be able to play a significant role to improve process efficiencies and user experience.

EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND
Requirements of Role:

Previous experience in accounting and consolidation essential

Experience of working in a systems team responsible for a Group consolidation system essential

Experience of multi currency essential

Experience of changes to a consolidation system highly desirable including:

Upgrades
-
New developments/functionality from design through to testing and deployment

Training new users and existing users on new functionality

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to communicate effectively with stakeholders around the Group’s global footprint and to effectively articulate system concepts to senior management.

The Group is in the process of implementing a new ERP system which will allow greater integration of the consolidation system and local ERPs. This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to be a key part of this journey.

The successful individual will be a self starter who will be keen to take on responsibility and play a significant role in ownership of the system and succession planning of the systems team.

There is a preference for the successful candidate to hold a recognised accounting qualification (such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA).

Experience of managing several projects concurrently and operating to tight deadlines is desirable
