We are offering an exceptional opportunity for motivated early careers individuals to join our Apprentice Scheme as a Production Technician, embarking on your career in Engineering. You will have the opportunity to get hands on experience with our SEA Products providing skilled assistance in Electrical and Mechanical assembly and maintenance refresh work, learning new skills on the job whilst you earn money! Your training will be supported by The Engineering Trust to help you achieve your Level 3 NVQ qualification.
The Production Apprentice will provide support to the Production and Engineering operations in the design, manufacture of Electrical and Mechanical systems and equipment supplied by SEA, working to agreed cost, time, and quality milestones. During your apprenticeship you will work across departments and spend time in Production Engineering. Production Engineering is responsible for the production handover of SEA products into the manufacturing environment, leading on equipment and tooling introduction, and applying Design for Manufacture principles to ensure processes are safe, sustainable and fit for quality and purpose.
You will also be supported by a Mentor and Buddy during your time on the scheme to assist with your overall learning and development.

You will be providing support to different departments learning how each one operates. Tasks include:
Assist in mechanical and electrical fitting, assembly, maintenance and testing of SEA products and equipment
Assist in repair and fault diagnosis
Conduct trials and testing for quality purposes
Hand soldering
PEC assembly
Anti-static handling procedures
Component handling and identification
Support Production staff as required.
Work with other Engineers to design and improve technical solutions
Observe health and safety procedures
Attend meetings and offering suggestions for improvement
Attend workshops and participate in as many learning opportunities as possible.
Keep a log of learnings for training and development
Build professional relationships with colleagues and clients
You will bring:
Ability to work with people from other engineering disciplines to achieve the overall objectives of the project
Must be a team player who is helpful and respectful of others
Must have good communications both written and oral
Good physical strength and hand-eye coordination may be required.
Ability to problem solve and have attention to detail
Must be motivated with a passion for learning and a commitment to continuous personal development
