University College Birmingham (UCB) is seeking a highly experienced manager to oversee the provision in our newly refurbished James Cond Sustainable Construction Centre. The Centre has had investment of over £20m to create a landmark space to deliver Construction courses from entry level through to postgraduate. The retrofit design creates an exciting learning space which the curriculum can develop into.
As part of the growing FE provision, the Operations Manager will provide oversight of the efficient use of the James Cond Sustainable Construction Centre to ensure an outstanding student experience.
The successful candidate will bring significant experience of working with young people and students in a similar setting and will possess an excellent working understanding of how to establish a positive learning environment.
Working as part of the University, the postholder will develop excellent working relationships across the institution and beyond and will be expected to play a key role in establishing this new and innovate centre for learners and employers. The postholder will also be responsible for ensuring all relevant policies and procedures are in place and are regularly reviewed for effectiveness and accuracy and that relationships with staff, learners, parents and other stakeholders and are well co-ordinated.
The postholder will have extensive experience of a providing management in a similar setting and will therefore possess a thorough knowledge of meeting Ofsted requirements, ensuring safe learning environments and reporting progress effectively.
