This global financial services organization is offering a fantastic opportunity for a motivated procurement professional to step up into the role of Global Indirect Procurement Manager. In this role, you'll take on growing responsibilities, working alongside senior procurement leaders to develop and manage the global travel category for a renowned company.
This position is ideal for a candidate with some experience in procurement, looking to specialize and grow their expertise in the travel category. Based in Birmingham, you'll work in a fast-paced environment with plenty of opportunities for learning and progression, supported by a firm committed to employee development.
Global Indirect Procurement Manager, Key Responsibilities:
- Category Development: Support the creation and execution of global procurement strategies for the travel category, helping to align initiatives with broader business goals and drive value.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Assist in managing key travel supplier relationships, gaining hands-on experience in supplier negotiations and contract management.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business travel needs, ensuring procurement strategies meet the organization's operational and financial objectives.
- Spend Analysis: Play a key role in managing travel-related spend, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.
- Sustainability & Compliance: Help implement sustainable and compliant travel procurement strategies that align with best practices across the organization.
Global Indirect Procurement Manager, Required Background and Qualifications:
- Procurement Experience: Some experience leading on indirect procurement projects, ideally with exposure to travel or marketing categories, with an interest in specializing in global procurement.
- Negotiation Skills: Basic understanding of supplier negotiation processes, with a desire to develop strong negotiation skills and experience in managing supplier relationships.
- Strategic Mindset: An ability to support and eventually lead strategic sourcing initiatives, driving efficiency and value across services procurement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external suppliers.
- Growth Mindset: A proactive, eager-to-learn attitude, with a passion for professional growth and the desire to step into a more senior role in the future.
