The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Design Consultant, you will play a pivotal leadership position in the company’s Mechanical Engineering division. You will take responsibility for delivering state-of-the-art mechanical design solutions, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and driving the division’s growth. Operating as an Associate, you will oversee projects while shaping the future of your team and division.
Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

Deliver innovative, cost-effective mechanical design solutions that meet and exceed client expectations.

Ensure all designs align with industry standards and prioritize sustainability and environmental impact.

Client Engagement:

Lead meetings with clients and contractors, building long-lasting relationships through trust and expertise.

Act as a key point of contact, translating client requirements into actionable, tailored solutions.

Represent the company at industry events to enhance its reputation and foster new opportunities.

Team Management & Growth:

Build and develop a high-performing team, mentoring engineers and fostering a collaborative culture.

Encourage innovation and knowledge-sharing within the team.

Commercial and Strategic Leadership:

Lead tendering processes, including preparing bids and pricing projects.

Manage project budgets and ensure delivery within financial and time constraints.

About You
They’re seeking a dynamic and driven individual with a proven background in Mechanical design consultancy and a passion for leadership.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:

CIBSE Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it.

Significant experience in Mechanical design consultancy, ideally within building services or Architecture.

A track record of longevity in previous employment, demonstrating commitment and career progression.

Strong technical expertise in electrical design, with a focus on innovative and sustainable solutions.
