PW Construction are looking for a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer.
A more detailed selection of the duties to be carried out are as follows:
• Production of CAD (Computer Aided Design)/Revit drawings.
• Preparation of Electrical Lighting and Cable calculations.
• Undertaking graphical design and desk top publishing.
• Supporting the administration of projects, including maintaining records and electronic filing as projects evolve to enable auditing of our processes.
• Assisting with data review and analysis.
• Ensuring outputs are accurate and meet the required up to date standards.
• Meeting agreed deadlines.
• Working as a member of a team.
• Contributing to providing solutions to problems and challenges.
• Assisting with site visits to collect information or observe existing situations.
No previous work experience is necessary but the position is ideally suited to recent College / University leavers who meet the following requirements:
• Be degree qualified to a minimum of 2:2 grading (or predicted grade) in Electrical / Construction based qualifications.
• Possess excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal).
• Have a keen interest in sustainable environmental solutions and the creation of sustainable buildings.
• Ability to use and learn relevant software packages like Revit, Relux / Dialux and Electrical OM.
Auto CAD would be required as well as Dialux/Rilux
Some experience of using and a desire to develop these skills would be an advantage.
• Be results driven, enjoy challenging opportunities, have a positive attitude and are resourceful.
• Good computer skills are essential (word and excel).
• Full UK driving license and use of a car (Due to rural location of the office and sites.)
This role will combine work-based on-the-job training on a wide range of projects for a variety of clients (ensuring real opportunities for personal growth and career progression.) Candidates must be willing to progress their career by carrying out regular CPD training both internally and externally.
