Job Title: Environmental Planner to Associate Director
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days from home)
Salary: £30,000 up to £60,000 depending on experience.
Carrington West are pleased to be working with a dynamic and multi-disciplinary consultancy within the private sector. They are at the forefront of sustainable development and their planning team is made up of experienced professionals including Planners, EIA Consultants, Ecologists, Transport Planners, Arboriculturists, Heritage & Archaeology experts, and Project Managers. They are passionate about shaping the built environment in a way that respects and enhances the natural world, and are looking for an Environmental Planner who shares this vision.
As an Environmental Planner, you will play a key role in delivering environmental planning services across a wide range of projects. You will be responsible for integrating environmental considerations into the planning process, ensuring that developments comply with environmental regulations, and contributing positively to the local environment.
Key Responsibilities:
·Prepare environmental assessments and reports, including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
·Work collaboratively with the Planning team and other disciplines to provide expert advice on environmental issues.
·Liaise with clients, local authorities, and statutory bodies to ensure compliance with environmental legislation.
·Identify and manage environmental risks and opportunities in planning applications.
·Support the development and implementation of sustainable planning strategies.
Requirements:
·Degree in Planning, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
·Proven experience in environmental planning, ideally within the UK.
·Strong understanding of UK planning and environmental legislation.
·Excellent communication and project management skills.
·Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
