BAM Construct UK are recruiting a Senior Bid Manager - National Frameworks. Reporting to the Framework Director you will play a key role in work winning through client engagement, bid strategy, implementing bid processes, preparing answer plans, bid writing and reviews and coordinating multi-disciplinary bid teams in such a way that establishes the conditions for high performance and work winning.
The position will involve a mixture of working from home and working out of any regional office. Travel required to the Central Frameworks office in Leeds. BAM operates a flexible working policy.
Your mission
The Frameworks Team bid framework and strategic bids for the business and manage key frameworks and alliances.
The role will provide a bid leadership role for mainly category A and B tenders, help with maintaining pipeline, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, consultants, suppliers, clients and senior management. The role also includes client engagement, developing bid strategy, developing and implementing processes, governance process, drafting update reports key sections of major tenders, bid reviews.
In addition to the development and submission of winning bids, the role contributes to the development of segment strategies including the continuous improvement of the segment’s bidding capability (people, processes, tools, information and governance). There will also be the requirement to support the business in reviewing and developing new business opportunities drawing on the strengths of the team and wider internal/external resources to ensure future growth.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
• Bid strategies and solutions to meet the requirements of clients and differentiate BAM.
• Develop and lead bid processes bid plan, programme/responsibility matrix, stage gate governance, bid reviews and other key areas.
• Ownership of all aspects of the management of major tenders – technical and pricing submission documents, co-ordination of any designs, consultant inputs, bid review process, tender compliance. Ensure the flow of Client Information and clarification process is fully managed with the bid team
• Manage the ITPD Competitive Dialogue workstreams and processes as required
• Carry out and document a lessons learnt exercise following each bid and implement revisions to systems/processes. Ensure standard documents library maintained to support future tenders
• Maintain networks and positively promote BAM Framework profile, maintain excellent relationships with BAM teams, Clients, Framework partners and other key stakeholders
• Support tenders and co-working with other segments and UK&I Division as required
• Preconstruction activities as required by the tender
• Support the development and positive team ethos within the team and wider segment team
• Provide advice and support to regional teams
Who are we looking for?
Experience working in a similar Bid Management role will be an advantage
• It will be important to have a detailed understanding and experience of framework tenders
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability and track record of managing successful bid proposals
