Principle Design Engineer (Electrical)
Location: Suffolk
Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 days in office)
Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 DOE (+ Company Car, Private Medical, Other Benefits)

As a Principal Primary Design Engineer, you will oversee and innovate on projects like the Sizewell C substation builds, contributing significantly to the infrastructure that powers sustainable energy solutions. This full-time role offers a balanced hybrid working pattern with three days of remote work and two days at the office or on-site, ensuring flexibility and efficiency in your professional life.

Qualifications and Skills:
Essential Criteria:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
- Chartered Engineer status, or on the path to achieving it.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficient in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and 3D CAD.
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) / SHEA (Safety, Health and Environmental Awareness) Power Card; Full UK Driving Licence.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Mentor and manage the primary design team, setting high standards and ensuring professional development.
- Project Execution: Oversee the design and delivery of high-voltage substations, ensuring all technical specifications and standards are met.
- Strategic Involvement: Participate in client meetings, business development activities, and technical proposal writing.
Working Conditions and Travel:
- Hybrid Working Pattern: Work from home three days a week, with two days spent at the office or on-site.
- Travel: Regular travel to London, Leeds, and Stowmarket, including occasional site visits as needed.
