Finance Business Partner - West London
Rate: £600 per day umbrella

A West London Local Authority is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to take on a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of the Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) Safety Valve programme.
As the Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in ensuring robust financial management and reporting for the DSG Safety Valve programme. Working closely with senior management, your expertise will support the delivery of financial strategies and savings targets within the DSG High Needs budget, driving improvements in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) funding.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead financial planning, monitoring, and reporting for the DSG Safety Valve programme.
Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies.
Ensure compliance with SEND funding mechanisms and local authority financial regulations.
Drive financial recovery initiatives and achieve sustainable outcomes.
Provide expert advice on DSG High Needs budgets and funding models.
Experience:
3–5 years in a similar finance business partner role, ideally within a local government or public sector setting.
Proven track record in financial recovery programmes like the Safety Valve programme.
Expertise in DSG High Needs budget monitoring and SEND funding mechanisms.
Background in large, complex public sector organisations with an understanding of local authority financial cycles.
