What you'll be doingCompliance and Legislative OversightThe OHSECM ensures Pure DC stays up to date with all current and emerging HSE legislation, helping maintain compliance across operational areas. They support regional teams with legal queries, manage site legal registers, and participate in training to stay informed on best practices. Developing audit systems, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring assessments are conducted and documented are key aspects of the role.
Collaboration and Expert Support
Working closely with Country Managers, Data Centre Managers, and Safety and Security teams, the OHSECM fosters strong relationships to meet statutory obligations. They provide expert advice on HSE matters, support compliance in live Data Centres, and contribute to sustainability reporting. The role involves driving improvements, advising on operational changes, and assisting with incident investigations and corrective actions.
Leadership and Continuous Improvement
The OHSECM champions HSE compliance globally, leading by example and ensuring all processes align with company standards. They monitor root cause analysis, implement preventative measures, and ensure fire and life safety systems meet legislative and company requirements. Supporting ISO certifications and sustainability initiatives, the OHSECM drives excellence while remaining flexible to support Pure DC's needs at home or abroad.
QualificationsWhat we're looking for Do you have:

- Ability to connect and collaborate: You'll be able to share your perspectives constructively and listen openly. Cross functional collaboration is crucial, because we understand that no one team is wholly responsible for building and operating a data centre.
- Hold Level 5/6 standard of Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- Hold CertIOSH membership of IOSH working towards Chartered status.
- Robust understanding of key concepts of HSE management
- Pragmatic approach and proven ability to analyse information and be able to drive HSE performance at project and strategic level.
- A Minimum of 3 to 6 years of experience working in the Data Centre or similar operational area
- Experience as a HSE Consultant will also be advantageous.
- Experience working in a live environment is essential e.g., Data Centre, power station, nuclear plant, hospital etc.
- Experienced with MS Office related software.
