Environmental Manager (Civils), you will have the unique opportunity to shape projects towards best practices, aligning with our environmental strategy and goals. You will be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle, from work winning and design to construction and in-use.
This role offers the chance to collaborate with ambitious clients, building strategic relationships to support their environmental sustainability and low carbon objectives. You will also contribute to central sustainability initiatives and campaigns across the business, driving improvements and ensuring targets are met.
Key Responsibilities - Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary contact for environmental sustainability matters with all key stakeholders.
- Develop bespoke CEMPs and ensure that requirements are managed and implemented on site
- Compliance: Assist with permits and licenses, ensuring compliance and renewals.
- Auditing: Plan and conduct site inspections and audits, following up on issues.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate environmental incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Supplier Collaboration: Review environmental controls and practices, fostering collaborative relationships.
- Training: Prepare and deliver environmental training and briefings.
- Data Collection: Collect and analyse environmental data for reporting and benchmarking.
- Sustainable Construction: Champion sustainable, low carbon construction techniques and technologies
What We're Looking ForTechnical Competencies: - Proven experience in a similar role within Civil Engineering, Construction, Infrastructure, or related industries.
- Degree in an Environment-related subject and professional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM).
- Strong understanding of the environmental/sustainability agenda.
- Experience in environmental data collection and KPI management.
- Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and auditing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Full driving license and own vehicle.
