What will you be doing?
This role is working a 3 shift, an average of 39 hours per week (6-2, 2-10, 10-6) at our Normanton site supporting the manufacturing team producing various packed sugar products. As a Machine Technician you will:

ensure that all products are produced in line with customer specification.

confirm that company quality and hygiene procedures are followed in order to maintain the safety and integrity of the final product.

ensure paperwork is completed correctly and promptly in line with company procedures.

reporting and escalate any non-conforming product in line with company quality procedures
-
communicate with colleagues across the factory to ensure minimum production down time in the event of line stoppage.

make sure that waste targets are met and improved upon where possible.

ensure that packaging and other related consumables are used effectively to minimise wastage and able accurate stock levels.

provide machine setup and adjustment to production line, in order to minimise downtime. This will include making technical adjustments and fault finding which may involve some manual handling activities.

build effective working relationships with colleagues across all departments within the factory, thus aiding in effective communication channels.
