About the role:
As a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the class teacher to identify and address specific learning needs, providing small group or one-on-one support as required. You will play a pivotal role in planning and delivering booster sessions and targeted interventions to support students in reaching their academic and personal development goals. Additionally, you’ll be actively involved in promoting social, emotional, and physical well-being in the classroom, empowering students to be confident and curious learners.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with primary-aged children, especially in Key Stage 2.
• A solid understanding of booster and intervention strategies for literacy and numeracy.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to adapt to the unique needs of each student.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with teachers, parents, and other support staff.
• A genuine interest in environmental education and sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with class teachers to deliver booster sessions tailored to students’ learning needs.
• Provide focused support to students with Special Educational Needs, enhancing their classroom experience.
• Engage students in discovering and exploring the environment through hands-on learning activities.
• Help foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment.
• Support students’ personal growth and development, nurturing a love for learning.
