Job Description
Are you a driven, high calibre, talented and ambitious SPECIFICATION SALES PROFESSIONAL with experience and a proven track record in promoting Commercial Interior Products to Architects, Interior Designers, Design & Build / Fit-Out Companies, Main, Specialist Subcontractors and End User clients within the Commercial Office & Workplace sector.
If so, we are working with one of the most forward thinking, progressive and disruptive market leading Manufacturers of highly sustainable and extremely design led FLOOR COVERINGS who are seeking a SPECIFICATION ACCOUNT MANAGER to join their dynamic team to drive business in Central London
The Role
To proactively promote our client’s high quality, market leading ranges of Floor Covering solutions on a project-by-project basis via Interior Designers, Architects (70% of the time approx. including evening and daytime networking events), Design & Build / Fit-Out companies, Main, Sub Contractors and End User clients (30% of the time approx.) by raising awareness, generating sales and hitting agreed sales team goals whilst working closely with other members of the team both internally and externally.
Responsibilities

Raise our client’s profile in the Central London region, expanding, growing, developing and nurturing the existing customer base through strong business development and relationship building skills, devising and executing strategic business development plans and sharing project information resulting in profitable sales and account growth.

Demonstrate strong and diplomatic negotiation skills

Generating new business through proactiveness in the marketplace.

Manage and develop Key Accounts

Be able to promote solutions on design capabilities over and above price

Networking and entertaining clients and customers

Embracing the A&D Community in the region

Grow Sales within agreed target markets: Commercial Office | Workplace

Grow and maintain robust sales pipeline

Collaborate with colleagues with professionalism and integrity on projects which are interconnected across the business, supporting each other and communicate proactively and effectively to ensure they are in the best position to win and secure business.

Be relaxed but professional when holding product forums, lunch and learns or CPD presentations

Complete administration on time so that accurate analysis reports can be prepared for use in measurement of progress and forward planning.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required – ESSENTIAL

To be considered Candidates MUST be located WITHIN A COMFORTABLE COMMUTE TO CENTRAL LONDON, HAPPY TO WORK REMOTELY and have excellent working knowledge of who’s who in the target sales channels and the inner ways and workings of how to successfully manage a construction project sales cycle from inception through to completion.

To be considered Candidates MUST have at least 5-10 years’ experience promoting an interior design led product or service offering along with an in-depth understanding of sustainability, design and what that entails.

To be considered Candidates MUST have a sound network of relationships, connections and understanding of the A&D, Fit Out / D&B / Main / Subcontractor companies that operate in the area especially within the Commercial Office / Workplace arena.

Experience of long-term project selling cycles

SALARY & BENEFITS
