Job Description
The CFO Europe will be a key member of both the European and Finance Leadership team with a key purpose of driving financial strategies across the region supporting Europes strategic ambitions. The CFO will enhance the ability of the finance, accounting, and compliance teams to add value as strategic business partners across the broader business operations. As a leader and a mentor, the CFO will develop finance partnership capabilities to deliver efficient systems and solutions that span the organization. Ensures strategic direction is set following Integrated Business Planning adoption across Europe, driving both tactical and strategic change in the European Finance function.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide strategic and operational decision-making guidance to the leadership team to improve business performance and capital allocation decisions across the entire scope of business operations (e.g. sales growth, customers, supply chain, capex management).
- Oversee Long Term Plan development following Integrated Business Planning across region to deliver robust strategic plans.
- Communicate, engage, and interact with Brambles Board of Directors, CEO, CFO and Executive Leadership Team to provide insights and commentary on the financial results and performance as required.
- Assess, evaluate, and approve financial performance of the organization regarding both short and long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts.
- Work closely with Centre of Excellence team to ensure the effectiveness of the corporate, regional, and country compliance and internal control environment for the region.
- Supervise standard Finance reporting within the region including Brambless performance reviews and authorize the development of ad-hoc regional reporting to serve internal customers efficiently and effectively.
- Oversee policy compliance, balance sheet control, statutory reporting, and risk assurance activities within Pallets EU.
- Oversee Commercial Finance activities conducted in the region to provide strategic guidance for major customer deals.
- Direct the execution of other business Support & Analysis activities to efficiently serve regional internal customers.
- Drive and collaborate on Finance Transformation initiatives and build a process and automation improvement mindset.
- Lead a people development culture within the region and across Global Finance, focusing on building strong succession pipelines and championing wellbeing for the teams.
- Lead and develop the team of Regional & functional Finance Business Partners, to provide effective Finance support to the Business.
- Play a leadership role across the Global Finance Function and the broader Brambles business.

Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelors degree in Finance/ Accounting or in a relevant technical discipline e.g. operations and supply chain and certified accountant (e.g. ACA, CIMA, CPA).
- Senior Finance Leadership position leading large teams in a multinational, matrix organisation.
- Experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics or FMCGs a plus.
- Development and growth of teams.
- Successfully operated within organizations having a large international presence and been part of a global management team.
