This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Territory Sales Manager to work within a fast moving, entrepreneurial business working within an exciting channel. The role is responsible for building and developing customer relationships in the Horticultural retail Channel, driving in-store distribution through existing and new business. Working for a leading branded consumer horticulture business, this role is focused around increasing brand awareness, driving sales and delivering market share. The right candidate will be energetic, pro-active with a real flair for building long-term customer relationships and show resilience, drive and commitment to achieving KPI’s. A drive for progression within the business is critical to long-term success. "Essential Criteria" Before applying for this role, please ensure you live in Cornwall or Devon with a UK driving licence. Main Duties: To strengthen our existing customer relationships with around 130 retailers, varying from Garden centres, Country Stores, Pet Shops and hardware stores and identify key levers for sustainable growth opportunities Increasing distribution of our brands through new customers is a key target for this area. Developing prospecting strategies to identify our biggest opportunities will be key. Develop promotional strategies specific to the retailer network to ensure we are maximising our return on investment and driving incremental growth. Achieve specific annual sales targets and NPD targets as requested. To produce weekly call reports as requested. Develop strong relationships with store managers in the territory and identify key areas of opportunity. Drive in-store excellence through POS and merchandising to ensure our products have maximum presence in store. (instore set ups) Deliver in store training to customers on our product ranges and brands to drive mutual retailer growth. Skills & Experience Previous sales/field sales experience within gardening retail, horticulture, DIY or the pet industry Confident with excellent client facing skills Ability to learn in a faced paced job Strong communicator Excellent customer service skills Organised and pro active B2B Sales Experience Self-motivated / Team Player / KPI driven Microsoft Knowledge
