Please be advised this is an 18 month FTC Our client is looking to replace their legacy Unit 4 Finance system with a new solution that can be rolled out across their global locations. Currently in selection process, the new system will be decided upon in the next 2 months ready for phase 1 rollout by August 2026. Initially the role is mapping out the current As-Is processes before moving through to To-Be once the solution is selected. Responsibilities Mapping Existing Processes: • Conduct comprehensive process mapping sessions with finance teams to document existing workflows, systems, and data flows. • Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation within current processes. • Develop detailed process maps, diagrams, and flowcharts to visualize the "as-is" state of financial operations. Gathering and Analysing Business Requirements: • Collaborate with stakeholders to capture business needs and system requirements. • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for the new finance system. • Ensure that all requirements align with financial reporting, compliance, and audit requirements. Gap Analysis: • Perform gap analysis between current processes and the desired future state after system implementation. • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that recommended changes are feasible and sustainable. Documentation and Communication: • Prepare comprehensive documentation, including business process models, user stories, and system requirements. • Facilitate workshops and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Skills Qualifications: • Qualified Accountant (mandatory): ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent certification is essential for this role. • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Technical Knowledge: • Financial Systems Expertise: Strong understanding of finance and accounting systems, including ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) and financial reporting tools. • Process Mapping Tools: Experience with process mapping and analysis tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, ARIS, or similar). • Project Management Software: Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or MS Project, with the ability to track and report on project progress. • System Integration and Migration: Hands-on experience in system implementations, upgrades, data migration, and system integration in a financial environment.
